That Wasn't In The Training Pack

We fundraisers are only human, and from time to time we do make slight mistakes and monumental cock ups. What follows is a collection of such instances, when fundraisers just couldn't use words right.



P = Member of the public
FR =Fundraiser

FR: "Every year ten thousand children are running away from home, because they aren't getting proper end of life care."

P: "I'm not interested"
FR: "We've got a magic fish that let's us do... stuff!"
P: "Not interested" *door slam*

P: "No cold callers."
FR: "I'm not a cold caller, not in this weather. I'm a slightly warm caller. Melting actually."

(This occurs after talking to someone for quite some time, they'd been responsive and quite intrigued to learn more) 

P: "No, it's no good. I can't talk."

FR: "You've been doing alright so far!"
